It seems like we’re seeing more and more systems developed in recent years to help people control and manage water, but we’re also seeing a resurgence of old-school systems, according to researchers.
“It seems like there are so many systems out there that are just designed to manage water,” says Dr. David M. Cottrell, an environmental engineering professor at Texas A&M University.
“They’re not designed to treat water properly or do a good job of controlling rainfall, or even to deal with water quality problems like bacteria.”
So why is there such a need for a new system?
“It’s because water is a big, complicated and complicated system,” Cottrel explains.
“I think there’s a real need to think about all of those parts in the system, because we can’t really think of a system that doesn’t have problems.”
